Who We Are
Beauty for Ashes Healing Ministry was born out of a simple act of obedience — a small group of believers who answered the call to bear one another's burdens. For over 15 years, this group has gathered to pray, not just for themselves, but for each other's families and friends, for their nation, and for the world. Through seasons of crisis — including the COVID-19 pandemic — they have stood together in faith, believing that prayer moves the hand of God.
Their commitment has never been confined to prayer alone. BFAHM has carried the love of Christ into the world through outreach — providing back-to-school supplies for a school in Jamaica, offering hurricane aid to those in need, and creating care packages for the homeless. They believe that faith without works is dead, and that the church is called to be a witness of Christ's love in every corner of the earth.
The heart of this ministry beats for those the world often overlooks — the emotionally wounded, the brokenhearted, the poor, the disenfranchised, and the sick. Their mission is rooted in Isaiah 61:3 — the promise that God exchanges beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for the spirit of heaviness.

This ministry was founded by Natalie Sewell — but she is the first to say that BFAHM would not be what it is without every one of these faithful people who said yes.
